Similis in compositione cum Typo AISI302, Typus AISI316 filum chalybeum immaculatum paulo superius contentum nickel habet et 2-2.50% molybdenum hanc offensionem melius resistentiae corrosioni tribuit. Typus AISI316 vires distrahentes est 10-15% minor quam Type AISI302, et stannum paulo minus magneticum in animo vere quam Type AISI302. Cum suis superioribus frigidis proprietatibus laborantibus, adhiberi potest ad graves frigoras operationes formandas et breve tempus distrahentes ostendit et vires proprietates in elevatis temperaturis subrepunt.

Proprietates ferro immaculatae AISI316 eam aptam faciunt ad applicationes amplis per industries. Vulgo usus est in industria marina, processus chemicus, ministerium cibi industriae, industriae pharmaceuticae, architecturae et constructionis, et in arte medica.
